So... For kiki564. I hope this is what you expected.

I did a vector drawing first and added character colours in vector. But it looked a bit empty and I decided to add some shades in gimp.

This was my first time I ever used Inkscape and I must say that it really is quite powerful application. And open source even. Took some time to get around it but was well worth it. (I have used macromedia FreeHand btw.)

So I once again used only open source tools. Well... Except for the Windows. But it seems like open source can be really powerful these days.
